Project Manager-Salesforce (Hyderabad Location)

Employment Type: Contract to Hire 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Migration Manager to oversee and manage the migration of data to Salesforce. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing data migration projects, ensuring data integrity, quality, and security throughout the process. This role requires strong technical expertise in data migration, extensive knowledge of Salesforce, and excellent project management skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

· Lead end-to-end data migration projects in Salesforce, from planning and analysis to execution and post-migration support.

· Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.

· Coordinate with stakeholders, including business analysts, IT teams, and third-party vendors, to ensure project requirements are met.

· Assess and analyze data from legacy systems to determine migration strategy.

· Design and implement data migration processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).

· Develop data mapping and transformation rules to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

· Perform data validation, quality checks, and reconciliation to ensure successful migration.

· Utilize data migration tools and technologies, including ETL tools, data loaders, and Salesforce Data Loader.

· Develop and execute SQL queries and scripts for data extraction and transformation.

· Ensure compliance with data governance policies and best practices for data migration.

· Lead a team of data migration specialists and provide guidance, training, and support.

· Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.

· Monitor team performance and ensure project milestones are achieved.

· Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.

· Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather requirements and provide project updates.

· Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with business objectives.

· Provide post-migration support and troubleshooting to address any data-related issues.

· Ensure documentation of data migration processes, procedures, and lessons learned.

Requirements

· Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. masters degree is a plus.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in data migration projects, with at least 2 years specifically in Salesforce data migration.

· Proven track record of managing complex data migration projects from legacy systems to Salesforce.

· Proficiency in data migration tools and technologies (eg, ETL tools, Salesforce Data Loader).

· Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and data mapping.

· Familiarity with Salesforce architecture, data structure, and APIs.

· Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution, and risk management.

· Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.

· Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to lead and motivate a team.

· Effective stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

Certifications:

· Salesforce certifications (eg, Salesforce Certified Data Architecture and Management Designer) are highly desirable.

· Project management certifications (eg, PMP, Scrum Master) are a plus.
